I'm sharing a special wedding today in honor of our nation's 240th birthday! Meet Lindsey and Hugh. They are a warm, interesting, and engaging couple who have a common love in living history, family, and decorative owls. They were married at Sundara during a warm summer day. The weather was picture perfect and their friends and family were in great spirits as their vows were exchanged. The setting was gorgeous as Sundara always is. Hugh's family is big into civil war reenacting as well as revolutionary war reenactments. They were given permission to fire a revolutionary war replica cannon they helped make themselves. Wow! I've been around firing cannons before at Colonial Williamsburg but experiencing an explosive cannon never grows old. Lindsey suited up in one of Hugh's revolutionary coats and after some cautionary measures, lit the fuse. It was all in stark contrast to the happy, vibrant colors in the reception area and there's something I really like about that. It was a lot of fun to have such variety in a wedding. Take a look at the photos below to see more of their day.
